Benbecula Airport is a small, regional airport that attends to less than 40,000 passengers each year. Given the relatively light traffic (and few passengers) routed through this terminal, the airport's facilities are streamlined but sufficient. There are no banks or business facilities onsite.

There is, however, a popular café in the airport that actually draws non-flying customers on a regular basis. The café offers free parking next to the terminal so that diners can come and go without any hassle. Shopping facilities include newsstands and miniature boutiques but no duty-free outlets.

The Outer Hebrides are well-connected to each other. The airport sits on the A865, a motorway that crosses over to neighbouring islands on a stone causeway. Buses regularly travel from Benbecula to North and South Uist as well as to on-island destinations. Three major taxi firms serve Benbecula Airport and can be hailed outside of the Arrivals Hall or arranged ahead of time.

The Outer Hebrides is a fascinating destination off the west coast of Scotland. It boasts rocky seascapes, unique Gaelic culture and even a few castles and museums. A hire car can be rented from Balivanich and is a great resource for exploring Benbecula and the surrounding islands.
